When I added the Calendar to the widget list, I promised myself to blog on the buns everyday so that I could get the Calendar filled up. Seemed as though that is not happening as I expected.

I have been down with a bad flu since last Friday and was not in the mood to blog at all. Furthermore there is nothing much happening with the buns at the moment. The weather have not been good enough for me to let them out for runs. It rained almost every evening. I really need to start letting them out for runs if not they will be stuck in their cages all day and night. Not something I want for myself if I am a bunny.

Just hope that there will be no rain this evening so that they could have a little run without having to go through heat stress as well. Maybe I’ll just leave them in the kitchen area where it is dry.

Seemed like the water bottle is working well with BlueBerry. That is the end of downpour for Noobie & Skor. I cleaned up the back of the shelf yesterday and found that there were so much fur. I believe it was from Skor.

Noobie is taking her own sweet time to drink from the bottle. In fact she has not drink from the water bottle at all. Since she is less destructive and have not topple over the water bowl just yet, she can still use it. If she starts being cranky, I will take away the water bowl for good.

BTW, we have got another surprise coming up…

As time passes, I realize that BlueBerry can really be a monster. She toppled over her water bowl in the middle of the night. This morning I refilled her bowl and again she toppled it over sending shower down to Noobie & Skor. I got so fed up, went out to the bunny storage compartment and took out some extra water bottles I have kept for cases like these.

I hope she do not topple over the water bottle this time. I have to assess the damage she has done when I get home this evening. Going through a major clean up would take me approximately 3 hours since I have to dismantle the shelf to get their cages out.

On the side note, Bandie is having her super major molt this week. I spent 30 minutes combing her and still there are loose fur all around. Hope her fur grows back soon.

Noobie gave me a little surprise last night. While I am keeping mums about the surprise, I would like to talk about the 2 misses instead.

Woke up this morning hoping to see to it that both BlueBerry & Noobie used their new litter trays. I was happy to see lots of pellets in it. But where is the pee? After adding Timothy Hay for them, I went about preparing breakfast. Then I felt that I had to check on them again. There and behold, BlueBerry was taking a leak but unfortunately not on top of the litter tray. Her front paws was on the litter tray and her bum was facing the tile I gave her. My goodness gracious. As I put my hand into the cage to clean up the accident, she was growling all the way and attempted to bite me. I hope that is hormonal.

Not too long after, Noobie took a leak too. And she also missed her mark. I guess both of them need to get used to the litter tray. They are able to fit just that I believe they have not used a litter tray before. Hope they pick the habit up soon if not then it would be really messy in there. Furthermore, I love those litter trays. If I were a bunny it would be one of my favorite things!

I just got confirmation from Christina that BlueBerry’s scar was inflicted on her by another cage mate when she was younger. Christina did mention about the scar but I must have forgotten due to the excitement this project brings. I believe the scar adds character to her laid back attitude. As for the bald spot. She pulled fur from that spot to build a nest for her previous litter. I believe it would grow back in no time.

Noobie is still shy as ever. Did not want to come down from her comfort zone – the litter box. I believe she is very used to wire and that gives her some assurance. Hope she will step on the tile I gave her soon. And her stomach feels hard to touch. Hope it is not any gastrointestinal problem because I found dirt in her water bottle. The staff at Japan did not refill their water bottle but placed a piece of dirt in Noobie’s!? Sure thing Christina would not do that. I am convinced it was those peeps at the airport! HmmmphHHhhhh…

More updates and pictures soon. Yohji’s owner just got herself a DSLR and we are gonna have some photo sessions soon.

The countdown continues.

On the sideline, I have been receiving quite a number of emails regarding adoption of Bandie. Some shows keen interest and others do turn me off. But like everything else, I learn something out of every email. I only have 1 conclusion to all the emails I have read. It is that Malaysians in general have very little or no knowledge about keeping rabbits. I hope the real situation does not reflect my findings because my findings are based on those who have got into contact with me. There maybe more who are very knowledgeable about this wonderful animal.

I also have to mention that I do get very good potential adopters. They do their research and are most of the time willing to learn.

I do appreciate inquiries and if need be, am very much willing to share but not to the point of spoon feeding though. You do have to do some homework before asking or getting a pet. It is the same for any other pet that you are planning to keep.

The great surprised may be revealed in 24 hours. I am anxiously waiting for this hour tomorrow to arrive. This is so exciting…

During Easter, 2 things will always be used to symbolize the occasion – Eggs & Rabbits. If I am not wrong, rabbits is a symbol of abundance and fertility due to the reason that they are prolific breeders. Unfortunately, many living rabbits has been exploited and have suffered due to this joyous occasion. During Easter, rabbit breeders in western countries find that the demand for their rabbits increases. Irresponsible breeders would definitely take advantage of this situation to get rid of some unwanted bunnies whereas most responsible breeders would stop all BUNNIES FOR SALE advertisement on their websites.

I believe the latter would be the best thing to do. Lucky thing in Malaysia Easter isn’t celebrated like how it is in western countries. If not we would see lots of bunnies in shelter waiting to be put to sleep.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE & ALL BUNNIES OF THIS WORLD!

I just realized yesterday that I did a stupid blunder. A super careless mistake that I will regret for the rest of my life. I am still frustrated at this very moment with myself. I do not blame anyone but myself for this careless mistake. Remember there was a post entitled “Something’s brewing”? Once I disclose what exactly is brewing then I will let you know this hilarious situation that has happened to me. It is really ironic. I could hear Alanis singing “isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?” clearly at the side of my ears.

I just hope I would not live to regret this mistake. Do pray for me dear rabbit lovers of the world.
