Happy Bunny Weekend!

The kits are really growing up cute and cuddly. There are a lot of differences with this litter as compared to previous litters when they were at the same age in terms of appearances and feel. Groomed a couple of bunnies this morning and just had to take some photos too. Here are a couple of photos to share. Happy weekend everyone!

Thunder

Fred

And also, the many faces of Clark…

Whatcha staring at, mate?

Uhuh?

Stay where you are!

There is a reason why Holland Lops have this “bulldoggish” look especially around the region of their faces. I have written something similar but I believe some of my readers are still unaware exactly what contributes to this “wide” look.

If you would like to evaluate or find the reason why your rabbit have a narrow look, take a front profile of it and do the following:

Draw a triangle through the tip of the eyes and join up at the tip of the nose

Realign the 2 diagonal lines

Short diagonal lines are indication that you have good width of head.

And NO, I did not ask you nor condone anyone discarding any rabbit with longer diagonal lines! So before you twist the intent of my post, just need to get that clarified to shut you up! SheeeEEeeeeesh!

Rabbitry Prefix

I am practically laughing my *ss off right now while rolling on the floor at 100 mph – LOL!

I came across some wannabe websites/blogs that uses their own rabbitry prefixes on rabbits that aren’t bred by them. Let me give you an example. Let’s say someone buys Tru-Luv Sibylla from me, the rabbitry prefix should remain as Tru-Luv not Wannabe Sibylla!

It really cracks me up and baffles me when I see some so called “breeders” buying some rabbits that does not come with any predigrees putting up their rabbitry name as prefixes. Totally embarrassing.

The rule of thumb is, these prefixes are suppose to tell others of the origin of the rabbits. It tells people who their breeders were.

When I purchase 2 rabbits from different rabbitries, it does not mean that they take on the prefix of my rabbitry just because I am the owner. The prefix will always remain as the breeder’s rabbitry name.

Only when I breed these 2 rabbits, their offspring will carry my rabbitry’s prefix. For example, if I breed Clark to Haley, Clark remains as Miller’s Clark and Haley remains as Ivy Crescent’s Haley. Their babies will have the prefix Tru-Luv because they are the product of my choices for breeding. That means that I deliberately breed Haley to Clark through conscious decision.

It is as simple as that and you do not go about putting your prefix on every single bunny that you purchase. And you do not go using other rabbitry’s prefix either!

And most importantly, you do not fake the rabbit names & prefixes on the pedigree!

Get it right, WANNABE!

Poor Dasher

I got a little bored today and SB suggested that I go let one of the bunnies loose. I did just that and …

I come, I see...

Beth shouted, "Dad dad, take him away!"

Santa said, "Ho Oh No No, poor Dasher!"

Beth said, “Dad dad, my reindeer is wet…”

Oooops!

"Santa, I feel violated!"

My Current Heart Bunny

What's up with the Canon?

What's up with the Canon?

Seven little rabbits share my little heart at the moment. I have my favorite moments with each and everyone of them. It is almost like a certain entertainment channel that features certain artiste at certain time. Instead of having the “artiste of the month”, I have “Bunny of the Month” at Meadow Haven.

My current favorite is Miller’s Clark. In between other chores in the rabbitry, I took him out for grooming today and I really like this little guy just like all the rest of my rabbits – LOL! And since Thunder is now bald, this guy has got no competition. He is a real cutie!

Just look at these pictures and tell me what do you think.

Chilling With T & C

T & C? Term and Conditions? Of course not! It is Thunder and Clark and coincidentally, TC can also be Timothy Chan. Yeah, that’s me!

I’ll just let pictures do all the talking.

Clark’s Prayer For The World

Brought Clark out to watch the sun rise today. I am not too sure if he got the right direction to pray but I believe he was facing the sun. LOL! I guess the following was his prayers.

img_1853

Dearest BunGod,

Thy pray that Thee will keep us all buhnies safe and sound,

Please not take our legs away for every bun show,

Deliver us from the risk of G.I. Stasis,

May mankind be truly kind to buhnies,

Please keep all cousins and relations happy always,

For those that need to die, may they not suffer a slow death,

May all Bun Masters keep their jobs to fill thee stomach full and round,

Last but not the least, please get this bazoooka off my face!

Natural Beauties!

Thunder says: Hear Ye! Hear Ye! We would like to thank thy SB, P & D for dropping by to baby us all today! Special thanks & gratitude goes to SB for holding on so tightly to the heavy piece of black thing that has a fat telescope protruding out from the front, while following our every move tirelessly and clicking away (what a mouthful-that’s what the cheeks are for)!

Please note that Master Tim did not make us pose in these photos since we are given full authority over our publicity budget & planning. These are our own very creative poses. Not everyday is show day here in Malaysia!

Guess Who I Found?

I was going through Kay Miller’s old website and I stumbled across a very familiar name on the Junior Bucks page. It was Clark! I am not sure if it is the same Clark as the one sent over to TLR.

Fearing that the website might be updated and I might loose the picture, I downloaded it and here it is:

And Now:

Could this be Clark’s baby picture? I sure hope so! Isn’t he CUTE?!

Clark’s Day Out: My Little Bulldog

I believe all for of them loss a little flesh condition due to the traveling. I hope I could get their flesh back up soon. Today was Clark’s turn to have a run in the house. After he was done, I placed him on the grooming table and snapped some photos. Really love the crown on this boy. My photography skill is definitely not giving my rabbits their due credit and justice. I really hope someone will offer to volunteer his/her photography service in return for some buhny cuddles. Any takers?

Here are some of my nice bunny poor photographer photos:
