Recursive Dejavu

Just when I thought that I have nothing better else to write, one of my close friends sent me this link:

Oops, doesn’t that face looks familiar and worst still, isn’t that excuse/reason sound even more familiar to you? How many rabbits has been neglected just because “I AM TOO BUSY”? But I wasn’t busy when I got it.

Remember this interesting discourse I had not too long ago? Maybe this link can help you recall:

https://truluvrabbitry.wordpress.com/2008/06/12/intellectual-property-violation/

Many of us would have predicted that this day will dawn and we just kept mums about it. I knew exactly what will end up to my rabbit if I have sold to such a person. But no, I got smacked left, right and center with words such as SNOBBISH thrown at me. And now, who has got the last laugh?

I am not laughing at all, instead, I feel disgusted, disappointed and outright enraged by how irresponsible people are. This is the perfect example of buying on IMPULSE.

I really pity the bunny, I really do but am I suppose to clean up after somebody else? Breeders should be responsible to ensure this does not happen as well.

That’s a pretty lame excuse.. Most of us have day jobs too but we still manage to take good care of our pets.

This is a prime example of the irresponsible attitude which, sadly, is very prevalent here. When will people learn to love and respect their pets, and not treat them as objects, to be bought and disposed off at the owner’s whim and fancy?

However, I must say that I’m truly happy to have met many animal lovers through blogs & forums, people who actually love and cherish their pets.. I can only hope that some day, the world will be filled with such people and irresponsible pet owners will be the exception rather than the norm.

    yeah…

  3. Wow. See this is what I was talking about…after the cuteness wears off and they realize that it does take effort and time to care for pets they are pushed to the way side. Unreal…this is sad. Really I pity the bunny, it did not choose to be in that environment.:-( I totally agree with you, breeders should screen potential pet owners more carefully…I know I plan to just as you do.
