Holly Hope x Clark: Gestation Day 29

The rest of the does are feeling the baby vibes. Muffet pulled some fur and Haley was hanging out in the box I provided for her.

Holly Hope is acting quite restless and her vent area easily get soaked with pee because it is getting really heavy at that end. I hope she kindles soon.

I am really happy that I am able to make such observation of the herd. Thanks to the low number as I can be very familiar with their behavior. I am proud to say that I can easily detect the changes in their behavior. It is indeed very interesting.

I’m off to bed and hope that I’ll see some kits in the nest box tomorrow morning. Please keep the prayers flowing in. Thank you all!

Holly Hope x Clark: Gestation Day 28

The countdown has began. She’s 28th day and heavily pregnant. I am keeping my all my fingers and toes crossed. It is indeed anytime now that she’ll pop. Finally we are going to have some kits. I am not keeping hopes too high as this is only 1/3 of the journey. The deliver can be quite stressful for both mother and kits. So far I can feel movements in her womb.

Another sign telling me that she’s heavily pregnant is that, her vent area tends to be lower and usually it is stained by a little bit of urine because that area is beginning to be heavy.

EmJay’s Not Here

This is another post I would like to dedicate to the King Of Pop, Micheal Jackson. I felt it was such a pity that he did not get his last wish which is to make a come back through his last concert tour. He missed it by just 2 weeks.

Holly Hope was suppose to be due today with Clark’s offspring. Unfortunately she missed. I was quite confident she took but at the same time was skeptical when she started building a perfect nest 2 weeks before her due date.

I expected at least one black kit out of this litter and I was planning to name it EmJay.

Empty Nest

Recalling all the songs by Micheal Jackson that I have listened throughout my life so far, I just cannot help but to share the feeling of emptiness with all those that mourn his death around the world. Just take a look at this empty nest. It is like our world today. We are missing a significant part of it.

Let’s ponder what good can we make out of this void that we are experiencing today. I guess we are lack of love. How did we treat Micheal Jackson when he was alive? The many things that Micheal Jackson was in my opinion was the outcome of the impact the hungry mass media had on him. The invasion of his privacy among others was what shaped him to who he is in our eyes today be it good or bad. Why did we not appreciate him as much when he was still around? Is it because goodness will never last and we are quick to judge on the first mistake? Do we sentence someone to death the moment they make a mistake?

Shall we all appreciate our bunnies more today?

I guess we will never know how much we miss someone or something until it/he/she is gone…

Mystifying Ms. Holly Hope

Remember the last post I wrote about Holly Hope? Back then she was just coming out of her molt. I believe she’s a stunner now. Her color is definitely something that I would like to work with in my herd. As far as her overall conformation, I must say that a total revamp is needed.

Chocolates and Lilacs shall be my little project on the side line. I am hoping to concentrate on the torts and priority would be given to the tort. On the other hand, my good friend over at LazzyBunny will be working on the Blues.

I can’t wait for have a chocolate colored Thunder or Clark. Just imagine how intriguing it would be to have a lilac Thunder or Clark. Simply irresistable!

For the rest of the post, I’ll let Holly Hope charm you with her magnificient color.

I must add that Holly Hope is much smaller than Haley & Carmel. I believe she’s the 90’s edition of Holland Lop. Back then most Holland Lops seemed to be the lop version of Netherland Dwarfs. They do not look massive due to their small built. These days, Holland Lop does are much bigger looking like bucks.

Personally, I wish to retain her size, add more fillings for massiveness and definitely retain her color. It would be really nice to have these minature bulldoggish Holland Lops.

Holly Hope: Everyone’s Favorite

Holly Hope is just making a comeback after a heavy molt. She is very small compared to the rest of the herd. The smallest I must say. I believe she is the same size as Truffles. LOL!

This is the first time I ever that I have caught the true lilac color on Holly Hope. Having a DSLR really makes a difference. Do you notice the reddish tone on her?

Noobie’s updates

Noobie’s doing well. She started munching on food late last night but I believe she’s showing very good signs of recovery. Today, she starting moving around and I could see the incision spot has been cleaned.

Something To Help Us All Get Back On Our Feet!

After being hit by the devastating news about Luna, I got a called from a very close friend informing me the passing of another high school friend. Everyone seemed to be dying young these days. As you can see, I am really really down. I hope today passes quickly. R.I.P. my brother Kahlil. May your soul be blessed. Please know that Luna’s waiting for you up there if you need a companion.

Before I stepped into the house, I knew I must snap out of this bad vibes. And that is just what I did. At the back of my brain, I am a very broken person. But somehow, I just needed the strength to summon up the courage to keep negativity at bay. The moment I see them, I felt there is a mutual exchange of strength. How can I ever live without them?

Holly Hope’s Litter: Day 1

Little runt/peanut/dwarf survived a day (we need it to go through the 3 days mark). The broken black kit was really plump and I could even see a big patch of white milk through the transparent tummy when I check on them first thing returning from work.

Holly Hope has been nursing them well. But the little one did not get much milk I believe so I am going to assist it by turning Holly Hope around so that it could suckle. He/she definitely need extra feeding.

Special Update: Holly Hope Day 30

Sorry for the late updates. My day didn’t start off too well and something happened that really broke my spirit. I am trying to pick up the pieces and try not to let Holly Hope feel my sadness. On the other hand, I am accepting the fact that things normally happen for good reasons and since I am at a juncture of making crucial decision, it is better for these things to happen now. At least I know what are the next course of actions to undertake.

She have not kindled yet but like yesterday, she’s really heavy and I could really see kicks from within her stomach more often now. I believe those are kicks that I am looking at. Let’s just take a look at the video. There are some twitches amidst the normal breathing movements. Many people would argue that you can never feel or see kicks, but I tend to believe otherwise.
