The Stage Is Set: Photo Session Test Drive

We’ll be having the official photo session for the new quad (and hopefully we’ll have time for the current residents of TLR) tomorrow morning.

I have prepared a spot where the photos are to be taken. It is at the brightest spot of the house. Fingers crossed that it will be a success! Stay tuned for loads of photos tomorrow!

Here are 2 unofficial test runs using my non-DLSR camera. LOL!

Guess Who I Found?

I was going through Kay Miller’s old website and I stumbled across a very familiar name on the Junior Bucks page. It was Clark! I am not sure if it is the same Clark as the one sent over to TLR.

Fearing that the website might be updated and I might loose the picture, I downloaded it and here it is:

And Now:

Could this be Clark’s baby picture? I sure hope so! Isn’t he CUTE?!

A Date With Haley & Thunder

I must admit that these are not the best photos of them. I will make it up later. Been really busy lately due to work so I am just posting up some random photos. I believe they are suppose to look much better when properly posed and when photos are taken with a better camera with proper lighting.

Speaking of Thunder, we had a good 10 minutes session of thunder and lighting today. That is why Haley looked a little tensed as she was scurrying for “shelter”. LOL!

I like the depth of her chest. Need a better photo of her relaxed.

Thunder deserves better photos of him:

TLR New Year’s Resolution 2009 Quarterly Review

On 1st of January 2009, I listed New Year’s Resolutions and Objectives for 2009. I just want to review on the objectives that I have listed.

And the indicators are:

BLUE -ACHIEVED

GREEN – IN PROGRESS

RED – ACHIEVED BUT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

Here are 10 new year resolutions for TLR:

1 ) Chocolate Holland Lops

2 ) Continue promoting ethical breeding & responsible ownership

3 ) Making more bunny friends around the world

4 ) Importing nicer foundation stocks

5 ) Praying harder to have constant Oxbow supplies

6 ) Renewing HLRSC membership

7 ) Continue posting on a daily basis with quality contents

8 ) Continue sharing quality Holland Lops at reasonable prices to highly intellectual individuals (LOL!)

9 ) To master color genetics

10 ) Revamp Meadow Haven

As you can see, I have actually achieved all the objectives for my rabbitry for 2009 and therefore I can now sit back, relax and enjoy all the entertainments that come my way.

Clark’s Day Out: My Little Bulldog

I believe all for of them loss a little flesh condition due to the traveling. I hope I could get their flesh back up soon. Today was Clark’s turn to have a run in the house. After he was done, I placed him on the grooming table and snapped some photos. Really love the crown on this boy. My photography skill is definitely not giving my rabbits their due credit and justice. I really hope someone will offer to volunteer his/her photography service in return for some buhny cuddles. Any takers?

Here are some of my nice bunny poor photographer photos:

Growing Out Hostel

From now till 6 months, the kits have to be grown up. I have decided to put them in the dining room where I spend most of my time (that’s is the reason why I am overweight). LOL! This is one of the ways I can spend more time with them to get them accustomed to human touch and have the best temperament.

This is surely 5 Stars treatment! Don’t you just love this?

Brighter Days For Holland Lops In Malaysia!!!

Finally, the other breeder in Malaysia is finally getting Grand Champions from the “nice” breeder I was talking about. This is long long long long looooooOOOoong overdue because good stuff should have been sent this way right from the START!

Would like to congratulate the other breeder for that!

We are all very happy to have this happening. Very exciting times for Holland Lops in Malaysia!

YeeeEEEeeS! This was definitely an easy objective to be met!

I personally am very happy because this serves as a CONFIRMATION that we were given junks and now as a reactive measure, CGs are starting to come our way. Don’t you just love it when the more people justify and tries to cover up, the more they reveal? This is just too interesting to watch. It is definitely worth the harassment I get every morning awaiting me in my mailbox.

And of course, we would know who the winner for the 1st Rabbit Show in Malaysia without doubt! Maybe after this post, the results may not be what we expect at all!

Whatever the outcome, “FELLOWSHIP, FRIENDSHIP & FUN”!!!!!

Rabbit Conscience

I had a very interesting morning with some FIREBALL emails going to and fro. It is amazing how when I write about The Rabbit Hell, the only person that seemed to be replying is from one of the rabbitries that I have imported from earlier.

It is a wonder how the conscience of the human works. I am usually very excited to greet my mailbox first thing in the morning and what I found this morning couldn’t surprise me more. It has been so long since I heard from this person. Now when I do get emails from her, it was about how I have put her down on my blog. Which of course was outrageous allegations. I write what I like writing on my own blog.

I normally like to put things into perspective and they are usually very simple matters. And I believe my writings are very general and I do not like mentioning names. I will only mention names worth mentioning and I ensure they are only good stuff worth the recognition.  I am very generous with my praises.

So as I read the email, I get so uncomfortable that it was all about other people. How she has been undercut by another rabbit breeder. But all those are just so unnecessary and goes to show what I have been writing was actually true. I must thank her for endorsing and affirming what I have written was about her as well. I seriously did not expect that from her. But I thank her for owing up. There is a saying in the local language “Siapa Makan Cili, Dia Rasa Pedas” and translated it would mean, “Greedy Buggers That Gobbles Up The Chilli, Will Feel The Heat”. Well, maybe the word Greedy is a little exaggerating. LOL! You get what I mean I am sure.

As I said, it is very simple to me. If you have done nothing wrong, don’t waste time explaining yourself. The more you explain the more you seemed to be at fault. I guess that when the conscience within someone is jumping or going into a fit that the person finds a need to justify every single action that they have done or are doing. But the amazing thing is that, not only this person is trying to justify her actions, she goes on backstabbing another person. That is just outright outrageous behavior and sounded to me as she was extremely insecure. It is also interesting to know that the person that she was backstabbing did not say a word about her. That shows me a lot about her. There is definitely self indulgence and outright unreasonable. A successful person will never talk about anything or anyone not worth mentioning and here this person was mentioning names. Now that she did, I have higher regards for the person she back stabbed. Cause that goes to show that the back stabbed person has higher credibility.

What I have to say is that, this is totally unnecessary. And I hope this person will spare me the harassment. I really do not need it at all. I hope that these sort of people do not end up being show judges. Simply unacceptable. The judges I know are normally composed and very level headed.

Let’s just add this sort of breeder into the BLACK List will ya? Breeders that picks on what you write on your own free space and blog. Just can’t believe it that she tried to control what I do on my own personal blog. She even have problem with me taking off web links on my own blog! Can you believe it?

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Have a nice weekend everyone and everybun!

P/S: Just want to thank a renown ARBA judge for clarifying that an ARBA judge is allowed to judge rabbits that he/she bred after 90 days of passing them on to other owners. She went on to mention that normally the judges may want to pull out from judging if he/she finds that he/she may have the tendencies of being BIASED on self honorable initiatives. Can you see that what I have learned (so much) is not from that person that sent me the email. All she did was sent me rabbits. If I am a judge, I will stay away from a show table if there are rabbits from my breedings because there is such thing called favoritism in this world.

YeahooOoo Tattoo Day

I am not a fan of tattoo on humans but I was always interested in rabbit tattoos. And since I bought myself a set of tattoo kit, I decided to put them to good use. I tattoo all 4 kits today – Truffles, Seychel, Camior and Milkyway Shiro.

It was a success and I have got many people to thank especially Susie and Teri for briefing me through what to expect. But nothing beats the real thing. I didn’t know some stuff prior to tattooing them and now I know exactly how the clamp tattoo kit works. I am not disclosing too much details as many people may not take it as something pleasant.

Anyhow, no life threatening feat and I must say that tattooing young rabbits is quite an easy task. And tattooing just one digit made it all much easier for me and also for the kits. So since I have only got 4 kits to tattoo, I went by the number from 1 to 4.

Let’s guess who’s #1, #2, #3 and #4. Please include your answers through comments based on the photos below.
